Evoke win REDA sponsored Employer of the Year Award
19th October 2023
REDA was delighted to sponsor the Employer of the Year Award at the Royal Berkshire Property Awards. The winner, transport planning company Evoke, was announced at the Awards Dinner in Reading Town Hall on 18 October.
The Award was for organisations that could demonstrate success in the delivery of its business or project goals as well as best practice in its approach to innovation, adoption of social value / ESG, staff wellbeing and performance and positive client feedback.
Nigel Horton-Baker, Chief Executive of REDA said: “One of the key factors of success for the Reading and wider Berkshire economy is our skilled workforce. We have over 50% of employees educated to degree level or above. This award recognises an employer that has achieved great results building a small and effective team from scratch by investing in the skills of its people and recruiting high-quality staff members to deliver great results in the built environment sector.”
The judging panel said: "This award was really tough to judge – five excellent companies but just one winner and that was Evoke Transport. Established in 2020, this company has travelled a long way (!) in a short time and now boasts a team of 11 and a geography of clients to match from its base in Reading. Led by the irrepressible Richard Stacey, the team is now working with a range of blue chip clients and of course all credit to its secret weapon – Zuko the dog!"
First held in 2019, the awards programme celebrates the property market in Berkshire and is organised by UK Property Forums.
Winners of other categories included TA Fisher, Stantec, Blandy & Blandy, Wokingham Borough Council, Steve Dixon, Edgington Architects and Morgan Lovell.
