The Reading 2050 Vision was published in 2017 following a number of years of consultation and development.
- Between 2017 and 2019 the University of Reading led on an open lecture series reflecting the themes of the 2050 Vision, the results of which can be seen in the Reading 2050 Lecture Series publication.
- In November 2019, we organised a workshop of stakeholders to undertake a review of the Vision. The results of the review can be seen in the Reading 2050 Refresh Workshop report.
- One of the key enablers to making the 2050 Vision more inclusive and accessible is we believe an Urban Room which we are currently trying to find a shop front location for in Reading Borough Council. In April 2022 a demonstration Urban Room, Your Place Our Place created by the University of Reading, was set up in the Broad Street Mall. Reading UK undertook an open meeting to discuss the 2050 Vision and this provided a basis for our next steps.
