Reading town centre has always been among the top performing retail space in the south East, anchored by The Oracle and Broad Street Mall shopping centres, as well as John Lewis, M&S and other high street giants. It also boasts a healthy independent retail sector.

Reading also boasts offices for Hammerson, who operate many schopping centres including The Oracle,  the UK Primark HQ, a Tesco distribution centre and capacity to grow the logistics infrastructure further around the edges of Reading, with new distribution centre developments coming out of the ground on the A33 and at Brunel Retail Park in South Reading.
