Meet the team

We are a small but mighty team, made up of six passionate people who are all focussed on shaping a better Reading for the future. Our home is Reading Central Library where we all meet every week, but outside of that the team can be found supporting businesses in the town centre, running events and out and about meeting partners.

As a small team, we use our collaborative approach to be a catalyst for positive change in Reading, and our established partnerships with the local authority and like-minded, proactive organisations help us to get there quicker.

Executive Director | Nigel Horton-Baker
As Executive Director, Nigel leads the team and sets the strategic direction for REDA. With an extensive career in Economic Development, Nigel works alongside our Chairman to support and advise our Board of Directors.

With over 20 years’ experience in marketing and tourism services, Sue has been Economic Development lead for nearly ten years, representing Reading on a number of associations and sub-regional organisations.

Head of Marketing | Victoria Patyra

With extensive experience in marketing communications and brand management, Victoria leads on REDA's overarching marketing and brand strategy, working with key partners.

Communications Manager | Alex Brannen
Alex is responsible  for REDA’s communications, media relations and tourism strategy, supporting a wide range of stakeholders to drive footfall into the town centre.

BID Manager | Alexa Volker
Alexa manages Reading’s two Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), co-ordinating the liaison with our numerous town centre businesses to deliver the 2019-24 BID plans.

Head of Operations | Alice Rampling

Alice is Head of Operations for Reading’s two Business Improvement Districts (BIDs). Alice works on behalf of our town-centre businesses to ensure they feel Reading is a clean and safe place to be based.

Carol manages the commercial and charity bookings in Reading town centre, responsible for managing stall holders, charities, live music and  events throughout the year.
