From start-ups to major corporates, we work with organisations large and small to help drive local business, increase employment skills and build networking opportunities. We also manage and run Reading BID (Business Improvement District), a membership organisation service made up of the 900 town centre businesses.
Our business support work includes:
- We work with local organisations to provide upskilling and training opportunities for Reading people, helping to get local people into local jobs
- We develop, manage and deliver Reading’s economic development plan, addressing the barriers to economic and business growth
- We address skills and labour shortages in Reading through partnership projects
- We manage two business improvement districts to make Reading a safer, cleaner and more attractive place for people to work, live and visit
- We encourage business networking and run the Reading Business Network to encourage free collaboration and growth among Reading-based businesses
