Reading Borough Council offers a number of services to support your business. Reading-based businesses should contact the Council for the following services:

• Licencing – all licence applications should be submitted directly to the Council
• Business rates – manage your account online for business rates and find out more about payments and discounts
• Advice and opportunities – the Council offers advice on land and property, running a food business, street trading and commercial opportunities
• Commercial services – Reading Commercial Services is a trading name of Reading Borough Council, a not-for-profit which supports Council-wide social functions
• Advertising and sponsorship – Reading Borough Council offers a range of advertising opportunities throughout the borough
• Consumer advice  - support on running a food business, food safety and trading standards
