The screen industry sector in Berkshire is growing at record rates and the area is becoming a global hub for film and TV production with deveopments such as Shinfield Studios.
In 2023, REDA conducted a report, titled 'Maximising the potential of the Screen Sector in the Greater Reading Area'. It provides a sound understanding of the structure of the screen sector and how it functions. Identifying the key jobs within film, it fosters collaboration between REDA, schools, businesses, and key organizations to build a unified support system. This initiative aims to drive growth over the next 25 years, aligning with Reading’s 2050 City Vision for a smart, sustainable, and creative future.
