Food Donation Scheme

Support local children in need by donating food for holiday scheme 

This summer, Brighter Futures for Children will be providing free activities and lunches for eligible children during the school holidays. Reading BID are proud to support this scheme, working with Reading businesses to collect donations of food and other essentials that children can take home after their activities. 

Working on behalf of Reading Borough Council, Brighter Futures for Children is, again, co-ordinating the Holiday Activities and Food scheme for the 4827 local children who are entitled to pupil premium free school meals, providing them with free activities and food during the summer holidays.  

Reading BID will be collecting donations from the below businesses between Monday 17 June – Thursday 11 July 2024.

What can I dontate?
Employees who work in the participating offices (listed above) can support the programme by donating any of the following items at the relevant donation point.
