High Visibility Security Tabards

To improve safety and security in Reading’s nighttime economy, Reading BID has issued high-visibility, individually numbered tabards to late-night venues for their door supervisors. These tabards are particularly useful during dispersal at closing time, ensuring that security staff are easily identifiable and can manage crowds more effectively. Each tabard is assigned to a specific venue and features a unique number, allowing CCTV operators and police to quickly identify which venue a door supervisor is associated with—an important factor in resolving disputes or gathering evidence when needed. 

By implementing this initiative, Reading BID is helping to create a safer, more organised nightlife environment for businesses, staff, and visitors alike.
