Business Wardens

What is it?
Reading businesses are supported when dealing with issues such as shoplifting and get a fast response to calls. The wardens are on duty 7-days a week and are contactable via the Town Safe Radio or their mobile phones.  The wardens link up with the CCTV suite as well as police colleagues, assisting businesses with all manner of anti-social behaviour.

What is the benefit? 
The wardens are responsible for the BID area. Having worked in previous security roles in the town centre, they have good knowledge of the area and those who cause recurring issues for businesses in the town. This means they can assist businesses in identifying offenders and add effective information to crime reports.
