Reading’s location on the M4 corridor means it is perfectly positioned for a number of major international airports if you’re planning to travel to or from Reading by plane.

Heathrow Airport - Reading’s local airport is Heathrow and just 25 minutes west on the M4 at off-peak times. The RailAir coach link departs approximately every 20 minutes from Reading Station with services to all Heathrow terminals (return journeys are from the central coach station).*

Gatwick Airport – about 1:30 hour drive (via the M4 and M25) from Reading, or travel via the regular stopping train service from Reading Station, departing every half hour at peak times.

Southampton (Eastleigh) Airport - about 1 hour’s drive from Reading (via the A33 and M3).

London’s Luton and Stansted Airports are a little further but still within a 2-hour drive from Reading.
*If you’re travelling to Heathrow it’s better to use the coach service from Reading Station, rather than the Heathrow Express train service. The latter takes you into Paddington, London, where you’d need change - adding to your journey.
