Reading has not one, not two, but three shopping centres right in the heart of the town centre, and all within a short stroll of each other. Each offering its own unique experience and brilliant range of shopping outlets from well-known brands to quirkier independents, there’s something to suit all tastes.

The Oracle
The biggest (and newest) of the three town centre shopping centres, The Oracle Reading offers over 80 shops and 20 bars and restaurants in its indoor, two-level centre. Car-parking is aplenty, and you’ll also find a Vue cinema as well as stunning riverside dining options.
-
Broad Street Mall
Formally know as the Butts Centre, Broad Street Mall has been a feature of Reading’s town centre for over half a century. On top of its wide-range of retail shops, it has recently transformed into a social hub too, offering leisure activities, co-working space, a new independent cinema and a social venue with mini golf and bowling.
-
Harris Arcade
An Art Deco gem located off Friar Street in the town centre, Harris Arcade is home to some of Reading’s wonderful, independent retailers and plays an important role in Reading’s retail history. Its quirky feel and beautiful old building has achieved grade II listed status, with its Friar Street entrance dating back to the eighteenth century.
