Beyond The Town Centre

Travel beyond Reading’s immediate town centre boundaries and you’ll find more shopping on offer. From furniture giant, IKEA, to bulk-buy hypermarkets and DIY superstores, Reading’s cluster of retail parks offer big-scale shopping for some serious retail therapy.

For more leisurely shopping, there are more shops found in the local precincts of Reading’s suburbs and villages such as Caversham, Woodley, Tilehurst and the Oxford Road in West Reading. Further afield, you’ll find nearby villages of Wokingham, Pangbourne and Henley on Thames, with a mix of well-known and independently-run shops.
