AR tour of Reading Abbey Ruins

A new Augmented Reality tour of Reading Abbey Ruins is available to everyone with a smart phone exploring the medieval ruins in the centre of Reading.
Reading Abbey in AR has been created by VisiAR in conjunction with Reading Museum. Scanning the QR code as you wander round the ruins of King Henry I's Abbey will give you an indication of what the Abbey would have looked like 400 years ago, based on Reading Museum's model of the Abbey before the dissolution of the monasteries and the English Civil War took their toll on the the Abbey. In its prime, Reading Abbey would have been one of the 10 largest religious buildings in Europe.
