Reading Restaurants to try this Veganuary

Veganuary is here! 'Tis the season for New Year's resolutions and trying something new. As well as its countless great walking and cycling routes and leisure centres for those looking to be more active this year, Reading has a great range of fantastic eateries from Japanese to Indian cuisine, experts in making delicious vegan food.
If you're attempting to go fully plant-based this January or are looking to make more meat-replacement swaps, don't be in fear of your burger craving! Here's our run-down of Reading restaurants with fantastic plant-based options on their menu.
Vegivores
Vegivores in Caversham is a great option as it's ENTIRELY plant-based and always 100% vegan. They pride themselves on offering nourishing but indulgent food, always from scratch and never deep fried. They have a great range of dishes, from Burritos and Macaroni Cheeze to their Satay Slay Burger, served on a warm pretzel bun. If you fancy a prosecco, mojito or espresso martini alongside your meal, on Saturdays they also offer a bottomless brunch with unlimited cocktails! Find their menus here.
Wagamama
There are LOADS of Japanese and pan asian dishes here from Pad Thai to Hot Pots and their protein-packed Vegan Showstoppers. You can still satisfy your Katsu Curry craving with their tofu and soya Vegatsu or a vegetable version, made up of sweet potato, aubergine and butternut squash, coated in crispy panko breadcrumbs. Serving up the finest Indian street food, Bhel Puri House in the town centre has a wide variety of vegetarian dishes and vegan options too!
Crispy Dosa
Crispy Dosa serves up the authentic taste of South India and is another great vegetarian restaurant with lots of vegan options. As well as specialising in curries and vegan dosas, they also offer a range of Indo Chinese options including noodle and rice dishes.
BrewDog
After a burger and a drink? 95% of BrewDog's craft beers are vegan and they have FOUR vegan burger options. Check out their Beer Battered Cauliflower Wings and Temple of Seitan Chick’n Wings (visit on Wings Wednesday to have unlimited!) or their Punked Up Pepproni or Halloumi pizza, coated in red peppers, aubergines and balsamic glaze. Bill's
If you're after breakfast, every Friday this January Bill's have £5 bottomless pancakes, including their vegan pancakes! They are also offering The Plant Plate, a vegan version of an English Breakfast, Avocado on Sourdough Toast and a Berry, Maple & Cinnamon Porridge. Find their menus here.
Creams
Dessert. Dessert. Dessert. Don't let the name fool you, Creams have loads of customisable vegan options including Crepes, Waffles and Cookie Dough as well as a variety of sorbets including Alphonso Mango, Blood Orange, Raspberry and Chocolate Absolute. All of these can be blended with soya milk to make vegan shakes!
Las Iguanas
With their own vegan menu, you can try fresh and authentic Mexican, Brazilian & South American food such as Veggie Chilli, Corn Esquites, Bahian Jackfruit Curry, Mushroom Fajita Stack or the immense Triple Nachos Grande. Find their menu here.
Pho
Pho offers healthy Vietnamese street food and a whopping 40% of their menu is vegan! The restaurant hardly uses any dairy in its cooking, so almost every dish that doesn’t contain meat is fully vegan.
